Features & Benefits

Tsurumi’s submersible pumps are loaded with proprietary technologies tested and proven over the years. In addition, wear-resistant materials are adopted for parts that tend to wear down more quickly, paving the way for continuous duty over extended periods.

  • Anti-Wicking Cable Entry: An anti-wicking block is provided at the cable entry section of the motor chamber. Even if the cable jacket becomes damaged or the tip is accidentally immersed in water, this device prevents water from travelling into the motor chamber through capillary action.
  • Oil Lifter: The Oil Lifter was developed as a lubricating device for the mechanical seal. Utilising the shaft seal’s centrifugal force, it forcibly supplies lubricating oil to the upper seal faces even if the lubricant falls below the specified volume. This amazingly simple device reliably lubricates and cools, stabilising the shaft seal’s effect and extending the inspection period.
  • Dual SIC Mechanical Seal: A dual inside mechanical seal, located in the oil chamber together with the Oil Lifter, has two sealing faces made of quality materials, including silicon carbide (SiC). This seal has two advantages: it eliminates spring failure caused by corrosion, abrasion, or fouling, which can prevent the seal faces from closing correctly, and it prevents loss of cooling to the lower seal faces during run-dry conditions, which causes the lower seal faces to fail.
  • Automatic Motor Protection Device: A built-in thermal motor protection device reacts to the excessive heat caused by overcurrent or run-dry conditions. It cuts off the motor circuit automatically and resets by itself.
  • Bearings: High-grade bearings for high-temperature operation are used. Also, deep-groove double-shield ball bearings are used, and as the bearings are permanently lubricated by grease, there is no need for injecting lubricating oil.
  • Agitator Mechanism (Slurry Pumps): Slurry pumps are installed with an agitator on the motor shaft extension, which forcibly agitates the fluid for easy and efficient transfer of slurry, sand, mud, or other particulates. The high-chromium cast iron agitator resists wear caused by abrasive particles and assists with smooth suction of settled matter.

Pump Series Overview

KTZ series

The KTZ series is a submersible three-phase cast iron high-head heavy-duty drainage pump. Its cast iron body and high-chromium cast iron impeller enable it to withstand demanding conditions found in construction, aggregate, and mining applications.

The top discharge side flow design assures efficient motor cooling even when exposed to air. The pump’s slim design allows it to be placed in a confined space. The discharge direction is selectable between vertical and inclined, which prevents the discharge hose from folding or bending.

The pump range with a 7.5 to 22kW motor incorporates seal pressure relief ports that prevent the pumping pressure from applying to the shaft seal.

HSD Series

The HSD series is a submersible single-phase portable slurry pump. It is equipped with a high-chromium cast iron agitator that assists in the smooth suction of settled matter.

Though the pump is a single-phase unit, it is durable enough to be used as a three-phase slurry pump since the wear parts are made of abrasion-resistant materials.

HSZ Series

The HSZ series is a submersible single-phase automatic portable drainage pump. The automatic operation, controlled by a single float switch, reduces consumption and extends operating life.

Though the pump is a single-phase unit, it is durable enough to be used for three-phase drainage pumps since the wear parts are made of abrasion-resistant materials.

The side discharge spiral design allows smoother passage of the sucked solid matter. The shaft-mounted agitator prevents “Air Lock,” which occurs on vortex or semi-vortex pumps.

LB Series

The LB-series is a submersible single-phase portable drainage pump. Though it is a single-phase unit, it is durable enough to be a three-phase drainage pump since its wear parts are abrasion-resistant.

The top discharge, flow-thru design provides maximum motor cooling efficiency, allowing continuous operation at low water levels and extended dry-run capability. Every LB model is slim enough to be accommodated in an 8-inch pipe. The discharge direction is selectable between vertical and inclined, which prevents the discharge hose from folding or bending.

LSC Series

The LSC series is a submersible single-phase portable residue drainage pump. The specially designed bottom plate lets the pump drain to a 1mm water level. It has a swing check valve that prevents the reverse flow of the sucked water when the pump stops its operation.

The rubber-lined base plate protects the floor surface from scratching. Though the pump is a single-phase unit, it is durable enough to be used as a three-phase drainage pump since the wear parts are made of abrasion-resistant materials.

The top discharge, flow-thru design provides maximum motor cooling efficiency, allowing continuous operation at low water levels and extended dry-run capability. The discharge direction is selectable between vertical and inclined, which prevents the discharge hose from folding or bending.

PU Series

The PU-series is a submersible vortex pump designed for raw sewage, wastewater, and liquids carrying solid matter. It is made of resin and 304 stainless steel and is excellently corrosion-resistant.

The vortex mechanism provides practically unchokable operation in sewage pumping. Liquid paraffin is used to lubricate oil, which widens the pump’s application to decorative waterfalls, fishponds, aquaculture, etc.

C Series

The C series is a submersible cutter pump for sewage, made of casting and equipped with a cutting mechanism.

Featuring a combination of impeller vane with brazed sintered tungsten carbide alloy edge and a suction cover of serrated shape, the C-series pumps enable smooth pumping while cutting solid and fibrous matter during suction.

The impeller and suction cover of the “CR” type are made of high-chromium cast iron, ensuring excellent durability and enabling the pump to maintain high performance for an extended period.
