Bermad 350-3 x 3-P Plastic Double Chamber Filter Back Wash Valve

The Bermad 350 Series Back Wash Valve is used in disc and media filters to automate backwashing. The valve can be configured in angle, or in line configuration.

Operation

Angel Flow

A Hydraulic Command, which pressurizes the Upper Control Chamber, forces the Diaphragm actuated Plug Assembly to move towards the Supply Port Seat, eventually sealing it drip tight.
This allows flow from the filter through the Drain Port Seat. Venting the upper control chamber causes the line pressure, together with the Spring force, to move the Valve back to filtration mode.

Straight Flow

A Hydraulic Command, which pressurizes the Lower Control Chamber, forces the Diaphragm actuated. Plug Assembly to move towards the Supply Port Seat, eventually sealing it drip tight.
This allows flow from the filter through the Drain Port Seat. Venting the upper control chamber causes the line pressure, together with the Spring force, to move the Valve back to filtration mode
