Portable Fish Tanks are used in underground mines as a part of the water management process. Mine water is collected from sumps and wet areas around the mine by air-operated Wilden pumps and delivered to the Fish Tank. Water level sensors then activate the pump and transfer the collected mine water to the central station, dam or directly out of the mine portal.Â
Mine water is typically dirty with coal, rock, and dirt; pumps used are able to handle a slurry product. Fish tanks can be located in hazardous areas and fitted with flameproof motors and control panels with PLC and SCADA.
