Description
Bermad IR-430-55 Pressure Relief/Sustaining Valve
The Bermad Model IR-430-55 is a hydraulically operated, diaphragm actuated control valve that can fulfill either of two separate functions. When installed in-line, it sustains minimum preset upstream (back) pressure; alternatively, when installed as a relief or circulation valve, it relieves line pressure in excess of preset.
The Bermad Model IR-430-55 either opens or shuts in response to an electric signal.
Applications:
- Downhill Supply Lines Emptying Prevention
- Systems with Various Pressure Regimes
- Line Fill-Up Control
- Backup for Reservoir Supply Valves
- Pump Overload and Cavitation Protection
- Pump Minimum Flow Safeguard
- Excessive Line Pressure Protection
Line Pressure Driven PSV Electrically Controlled On/Off
- Controls system fill-up
- Relieves excessive pressure protecting pump and system
- Switches between pressure regimes
- Wide range of pressures and voltages
Advanced Globe Hydro-Efficient Design
- Unobstructed flow path
- Single moving part
- High flow capacity
Fully Supported & Balanced Diaphragm
- Requires low actuation pressure
- Excellent low flow regulation performance
- Progressively restrains valve closing
- Prevents diaphragm distortion
Simple In-Iine Inspection and Service
The Needle Valve continuously allows line pressure into the Control Chamber. The Pressure Relief/Sustaining Pilot which senses Upstream Pressure and the Solenoid, together control outflow from the control chamber. The pilot throttles when drops below setting*.
Pressure then accumulates in the control chamber causing the Valve to throttle closed maintaining at pilot setting, and eventually closing drip-tight. The pilot releases accumulated pressure when rises above setting, thereby causing the Valve to modulate open.
Closing the solenoid shuts off the Valve.
